At our Hyundai service center in Sussex, you can count on our team being able to provide you with all the regular and routine service you need. For those electric vehicle owners of the likes of a Kona EV or Ioniq Electric, you might be wondering how your maintenance plan differs to those of a gas-powered option. We're here help you and discuss your maintenance plan for an electric vehicle.

You can follow a Hyundai factory maintenance plan that you get in your owner's manual, or if you look up your maintenance schedule online at Hyundai's website by putting the EV that you own into its online database. Of course, we're here to help you as well and can set service reminders by sending you emails and setting up calls for service.

In general, however, you should have the basics like tire rotations, alignments, brake inspections and fluid checks all done at regular intervals, and ensure when you hit benchmarks like the 30,000-mile service or 50,000-mile service, you're taking care of it all. Additionally, as an electric vehicle, it's important that you have your vehicle battery checked, at least at the 30,000-mile service, and again at the 60,000-mile service so you know you have ample power that lasts. Remember you do have a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty on your hybrid system components for vehicles after 2019, and for those current owners of a hybrid or electric Hyundai from 2012 to 2019, you have a lifetime warranty on the battery.

Our team would be happy to schedule a service if you need basic and routine maintenance, or if your Hyundai electric vehicle is having an issue that needs further diagnosis and repair. Contact us and we can get started and set up an appointment today.
